Childrensalon showcases new website and blog
Largest online store for designer childrenswear employs latest technologies.

Childrensalon.com, the online retailer for luxury childrenswear, has unveiled a new-look website and blog. Founded in 1952, the retailer is building on its established knowledge of the kids’ fashion industry with a content-rich website adopting a fully-responsive design. The user experience has been upgraded to be sleeker and seamless and includes the introduction of state-of-the-art responsive technology, ensuring the same experience regardless of device, environment or behaviour.
 
Childrensalon’s in-house team of fashion editors, stylists and content marketers will update the revamped website weekly, with seasonal trends, prestigious interviews, designer features, videos and guest-edited bespoke boutiques. 
 
“We ramped up our in-house team with editors, stylists, UX and CX architects and digital marketers to create a site that is beautiful, inspiring, and exceptionally functional across all devices,” says digital and brand director Sorcha Harriman-Smith. 
 
With over a million unique visitors to the site each month, Childrensalon turned over £28.5m last year, with a forecast of £42m for 2015. Adopting ecommerce as early as 1999, the company now offers over 270 of the world’s most desirable brands from its website to a global audience in over 130 countries.
 
“We’ve already seen staggering growth this year, especially since launching our mobile-optimised site, which has almost doubled in conversion rate but we’re not ones to rest on our laurels,” says Harriman-Smith. “We have a lot of other exciting projects on the horizon.” 
 
Alongside the website update, Childrensalon has launched Tiny Times, a brand new blog. Documenting the latest news and trends in childrenswear, it features informative how-tos and more.
 
“This is another exciting chapter for us,” says Michele Harriman-Smith, CEO of Childrensalon. “Being able to innovate in the digital sphere whilst still delivering on our promise of dressing children beautifully is incredibly exhilarating and rewarding.”
