Forum connects agents with international brands
Exclusive event unites agents and designers looking to expand their portfolio and distribution.

An exclusive event designed to bring together UK agents with international brands and manufacturers will be held on 23 May at Asia House, 63 New Cavendish Street, London W1G.
 
The MGC D&A Forum 2017, organised by fashion agency MGC Consultancy, provides agents and designers with a targeted networking opportunity and will cover womenswear, menswear, footwear and childrenswear. Each brand will have its own dedicated space to showcase and introduce the collections and discuss its expansion strategy and potential. 
 
Confirmed brands include Carmela Rosso, Escolá, I-Odena, K-Kou, Quisquillas, Sweet Matitos, and Punto Blanco.

CARMELA ROSSO 
Carmela Rosso has been established since 1975. It offers a timeless universe for an elegant, contemporary woman. The brand pays special attention to quality and exclusivity, reflected in the cut, fabric and finish of each garment. This philosophy has remained unchanged in the 40 year history of the brand. The atelier is based in Madrid. The collections are manufactured following traditional means of production, in order to create excellent cuts and patterns that proudly enhance beauty.  Carmela Rosso offers ‘pret-a-couture’ service, dressing modern individual women who believe that elegance and style stay beyond anything else. ESCOLÁ 
Based in Zaragoza, Escolá has over 50 years of experience in textiles, designing and manufacturing. Throughout these years, it has always been a knitwear collection.  However, for the s/s 18 season, Escolá will be launching a total look collection, with twin-sets, tops, trousers, dresses, skirts, sweaters and jackets, both woven and knitted and aimed at women from 35-plus.  Escolá is sold in independent multibrand retailers and department stores in Portugal, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxemburg, USA and Hong Kong and also already has some stockists in the UK and Ireland. The company is looking to appoint agents to represent and promote the new collection and expand and increase turnover. Escolá ranges from size 10 to size 26, with around 115-130 pieces wholesaling from 22€ to 55€.  It sits alongside collections such as Dicktons, Naulover & Pause Café and will be exhibited at Who’s Next.  www.escola.es
 
I ODENA 
I. Odena is a family run business established in 2006 in Barcelona. The brand designs and manufactures quality knitwear for women and men aged 30 to 50 at the core, pitched at the the mid to upper end of the market. The range is composed of 100-150 styles per season with a mix of fabrics in wool/acrylic and crepe/viscose wholesaling from £15 to £35, as well as a fine capsule cashmere collection ranging from £40 to £50. The brand has a classic look with an avant-garde touch and is sold in independent ladies and menswear retailers and department stores, sitting alongside names such as Rabe, Oldavi, Marble and Daneva for ladies and the likes of Oliver Spencer and Smedley for men, although with a more competitive price range. I. Odena sells in France, Germany, Lebanon, Hong Kong, Japan, and the USA and it already has a presence in the UK & Ireland. K-KOU 
Established in 1999, K-Kou is a contemporary lifestyle collection of occassionwear, mother of the bride, smart-casuals, dresses, outerwear and cruisewear. It is aimed at active women from 25 to 50 years old ranging from size 8 to size 18. The brand is 100 per cent designed and manufactured in Spain and is sold in Portugal and France throug multibrand stores. It sits alongside brands such as Sonia Peña, Carla Ruiz, Alba Conde and Etxart & Panno to name a few. The s/s 18 collection has two programs (50-80 pieces 1st programme and 20-40 styles 2nd programme). K-Kou is looking to appoint agents in the UK & Ireland. www.k-kou.com
 
PUNTO BLANCO 
Based in Barcelona since 1948, Punto Blanco designs and manufactures 100 per cent natural socks and underwear for men, women, children & babies. The collection is classic with a fashionable touch, made from comfortable high quality fabrics. The brand sits alongside Falke, Calvin Klein, Emporio Armani and Tommy and it is sold in independent shops, retail chains, online retailers and department stores. Punto Blanco includes in the collections a line of nightwear, homewear and aqua wear and also manufactures for private luxury brands. Prices average from £1.80 for cotton socks, £3.20 for wool socks and £6 for microfiber underwear. Punto Blanco is already well positioned in Spain, France, Italy, Benelux, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, Korea, China, Taiwan and Canada. QUISQUILLAS 
Quisquillas is a creative daywear collection for stylish women of all ages. Both, smart and relaxed, the range features exclusive prints, avant-garde designs and superb quality in flattering, edgy knitwear. Sizes range from 6 to 14. Quisquillas designs around 30-50 pieces per season, wholesaling in the range between 40€ to 60€. Quisquillas sits alongside brands such as Sita Murt, Nice Things, Mi&Co, Des Petits Hauts and Intropia. SWEET MATITOS 
Sweet Matitos is the result of a wealth of experience and family tradition in the fashion business, by the Bossi family and the Met Group.  It has been envisaged to provide a total look of designs for ladieswear, footwear, fashion accessories as well as perfume. The collection has been created by different designers, both established and emerging. Sweet Matitos includes around 300 styles, with wholesale prices ranging from 60€ to 150€, and incorporates four lines: Heritage, Romantic Beauty, Serenity and Nature Lover. It is aimed at the luxury market, sitting alongside collections such as Carolina Herrera, Sandro Maje, Michael Khors and D&G, although with more affordable prices. CHIKA 10 
Established in Malaga since 2006, the collections include shoes and accessories highly influenced by the latest trends. It is aimed at women between 18 and 40 years old and is sold through independent footwear retailers and department stores. The collection encompasses around 120 styles ranging from size 35 to size 41, and includes smart casual and urban/cosmopolitan styles, espadrilles, sandals, boots, as well as a line of handbags and accessories. Chika 10 is already trading in Italy, Portugal, Greece, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia and Scandinavia, and the company is looking to appoint footwear agents and/or distributors in the UK and Ireland. CHIKA 10 KIDS 
CHIKA Kids is aimed at girls from 3 years old. It is sold through independent footwear retailers and department stores and has around 80 to 100 styles per season, from size 27 to size 38 and includes smart casual and urban/cosmopolitan styles, espadrilles, sandals, handbags and other accessories. Chika 10 is already established in Greece, Italy, Portugal, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia and Scandinavia and the company is looking for footwear agents and/or distributors in the UK and Ireland.
