has opened a new UK concept store covering 10,000 sq ft at leading retail and leisure destination, Bluewater.
Created by an in-house team, the store is the first of a new breed of concept design to launch in the UK and includes women’s, men’s, kids’ and baby collections. It also contains Denim Addict, which allows Bluewater’s guests to personalise their denim with distressing, studs and patches. In addition, other products can be embroidered with names and initials as an extension of Gap’s customisation service.
“Gap’s decision to open its new concept store for the UK at Bluewater reaffirms its position as Europe’s leading retail and leisure destination,” says Russell Loveland, portfolio director at Land Securities, co-owner and asset manager of Bluewater. “Gap’s store, which brings a number of innovations to the guest experience, is part of our strategy to create a select series of statement stores at Bluewater, where the emphasis is on providing something unique.”
