(GF), a leading UK manufacturer and finisher of embroidered and printed badges, pennants and associated products, has appointed Jeremy Aston-Phillips as its new sales director with immediate effect.
Aston-Phillips joins GF from a long career in the embroidered garment sector, having held the position of sales director at Blue Max Banner
for over 10 years.
In his new role, Aston-Phillips will be responsible for delivering GF’s overall business strategy, with a hands on approach in all aspects of the company. He will oversee sales, marketing and operations and is working directly with GF’s CEO, John Sheppard.
“Jeremy joins GF at a point where we have now streamlined the operations and processes within the company to ensure that we are ready for the growth ahead,” says GF’s CEO, John Sheppard. “Jeremy brings with him extensive commercial and operational skills and experience; he adopts the same hands-on approach that is very much part of the GF ethos.
“Jeremy and I have worked together in the past, and I have always felt that his experience and commercial acumen would be an asset to the company,” continues Sheppard. “As well as his knowledge in garment distribution and operations, Jeremy has a background in IT and engineering, which will be an asset to GF for the future.”
Aston-Phillips adds, “John and I have always spoken the same language when it comes to business, I was delighted to accept the challenge and the opportunity to work together to take GF to the next level.
He continues, “This new role is going to be exciting and a lot of fun. Along with the existing customer base, I will also be able to work with many of my contacts in the industry, helping them all develop their businesses with the products and services that we have to offer at GF.”
Established in 1989
, GF started as a badge making service offering sewing finishing. Since then, the business has grown into many different areas, producing a variety of badges, pennants and associated products, both printed and embroidered. GF currently produces over a million badges per year, a number that continues to rise.
