Hippychick has launched a new soft leather baby and toddler footwear range available in a choice of 16 designs, eight for girls and eight for boys. Each pair of shoes is handmade in the UK from sustainably sourced leather, which is soft and breathable, allowing small feet to grow naturally and freely.
While Hippychick has a long-established history in leather baby and toddler shoes, this is its first own signature collection.
“The range we have developed is the next best thing to bare feet, enabling babies and toddlers to feel completely comfortable,” says Hippychick founder, Julia Minchin. “Each style has been selected with the imagination and curiosity of the wearer in mind. From dainty flowers and pretty birds, to soaring rockets and cool trainers, there’s a design for even the pickiest toddler. And, parents will be pleased to know that the shoes are effortlessly easy to keep clean, just wipe over with a damp cloth or approved leather cleaner.”
Key design features include no laces or fasteners to encourage children to put the shoes on and take them off themselves, non-slip, completely flexible suede soles to promote good balance, and a gently elasticated ankle to keep the shoes firmly on the foot.
