M&S launches school-specific service
M&S moves into the school-specific sector

17 February 2012

Marks & Spencer is moving into the school-specific sector with the launch of Local School Uniforms a new online supply service selling M&S uniforms complete with school logos, through dedicated online shops for each school.

Personalisation of uniform items is available via printing and embroidery. It covers jumpers, cardigans, sweat tops, polo tops, blazers and accessories.

Plain garments from the existing M&S schoolwear range are also available to help complete uniforms.

As an added selling point, the retailer has developed the service in partnership with My School Direct, a cashback website that raises funds for schools via online retail partners.

As a retail partner, M&S will give five per cent of all sales back to the schools in cash.

M&S has selected schools to work with on the new service, offering them the opportunity to switch to M&S as their official supplier for the 2012/13 school year.
