Stacey Galvin, sales assistant at Solihull schoolwear retailer Early Years, picked up first prize of £1,000 in the Schoolwear Association raffle at last month’s Schoolwear Show. The Schoolwear Association raffle is one of the highlights of the trade show at Cranmore Park, Shirley, West Midlands, attracting exhibitors and buyers from across the UK and beyond.
Prizes, which were donated by the Schoolwear Association’s executive board of volunteers, also included a £500 weekend break, a driving experience, spa day for two, cream teas, cases of wine and bottles of champagne.
The raffle raised more than £3,600, which will be used by the Schoolwear Association to campaign on behalf of British retailers, wholesalers and suppliers of school-specific uniform.
The Schoolwear Association, based in Solihull, represents British businesses involved in the manufacture and supply of school-specific uniform, from manufacturers to wholesalers and independent retailers. Established in 2006, The Association is run on an entirely voluntary basis by some of the sector’s most experienced professionals.
